| Abstract | A recent publication of a revision of Mydini by Wilcox et al. (1989) necessitates several nomenclatorial changes to the M. xanthopterus group of Mydas reviewed by Welch and Kondratieff (1990): Mydas evansorum Welch and Kondratieff nomen novum, replaces a primary junior synonym, M. fisheri Welch and Kondratieff is an objective synonymy of M. fisheri Wilcox et al., and Mydas simplex Loew is not considered a valid species but a synonymy of M. luteipennis Loew as previously concluded by Welch and Kondratieff (1990). |
